A Moment of Weakness

I'm a little bit happy that its raining on all my friends who went to opening day and didn't bring me along. My consolation prize will be laying in bed and watching Chase Utley's glorious tush at 3pm. Also, I've found my self glued to Rick Steves' show on the travel channel. Praha, so hot right now

Man Caught Having Sex with a Picnic Table

This is what happens when the football season ticket renewal forms slow down, and life at the ticket office becomes about staving off boredom.

Irrational Fears

Here, I thought that I was the only person on earth afraid to tie their shoes in public. It paralyzes me. For this reason, I wear flip flops until it snows and then I move on to Uggs until April. I am also devastatingly afraid of heights, including glass elevators, Indian food, and ice skating.

Neutrality, so hot right now

Per usual, not the typical spring break for Ally. First, I spent St. Patricks day (see also, Casey and Millers collective birthday weekend) with the north brunswick kids on a pub crawl I remember very little about. Some classics include the following:

brilliant.

Immediately after these 12 hours of debauchery I helped my sister move her family to Zurich. None of us speak German. We had a three year old on a plane for eight hours, then a train ride, then a hike up the-biggest-hill-in-europe with twelve checked bags and a six month old. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. The highlights:

Zurich, proper.

you need to bring THIS MUCH formula from america. obviously.

also. meghan is always shooting me these random tid-bits to read at work, probably because her job is better than mine. you'll appreciate this. i know i did.

Okay!

Okay. Obviously, so much to mention. But, Casey's the only one who reads this, and she got the highlights yesterday. So, I'm taking my jetlagged ass to Acme, for now and I'll get back at you.

Ready. Set. Switzerland.

I'm on my way to a molto impromptu trip to Zurich to help my sister and her oh-so-in-over-their-heads family move in to their new euro-flat. bon voyage to me.

uh oh

There has been an ever so slight change of plans. Now I've got to unpack all of my bathing suits and find some sweaters. Oh geez.

A Mess

I'm too busy packing to write. Enjoy this: in honor of Matt's 80s XM radio station today.

Decisions Decisions

I'm torn. April 26th-27th is obviously the NFL draft at Radio City. However, it's also the Bravery in Allentown, PA. What do I do?!

Someone with generally good taste sent this to me, I thought I might as well share it.

The North Brunswick Kids

In a true testament to how incredibly lame I am, with a lack of anything more interesting to do, Balint and I spent the other night watching Miller and Billand bowl - not even motivated enough to bowl ourselves. Don't think we didn't hate ourselves for it. We did. And plenty.

Casey, wondering just how long it will take us to get to Newark airport and out of this mess. The answer? Entirely too long.

The motif of bowling balls and pins in the viewing area was extra special

Fianlly, in honour of Heels - Blue Devils tonight, I leave you with my favorite clip of Tyler Hansbrough. Its an obvious, but fabulous, choice.

So Close

With baseball season literally around the corner I've been thinking about how to approach this spring and all of its various baseball related nuances.

First, Miller already veto'd my pleas to be in his fantasy league. His argument? "What do chicks know about fantasy baseball?" Not only has he just set the women's liberation movement back thirty years, but he also pist me off. To test my skills he waited until after a few drinks to have me rattle off the depth chart of Phillies - pitting me up against a sober Yankees fan. False. Regardless, now I'm in the market for a fantasy league of my own, and no one wants to play with girls... even me.

Second, my early season choices for Phillie's homegames are as follows:
3/29 vs Blue Jays
4/19 vs Mets
5/4 vs San Fran.
Takers?

Finally, now that I've befriended the older gentleman, kindly known as "Phil", in the office, I now have someone to watch Rutgers Baseball games with. Good news, because I always feel like a total creep sitting over there solo. Now, if i can only get some company for the softball game v. Drexel on the 27th, we'd be golden.

And in totally unrelated thoughts. How sad was I when Rami lost last night on Project Runway? Oh, Heidi, you can be so cold. And now, an homage - for casey balint.

You're Welcome

Until I get the pictures from our tuesday-bowling-extravaganza together, you'll have to watch and love this. You are welcome in advance

A case of the monday's

As Meghan so importantly pointed out to me today, this time last year we were in Venice celebrating Linda's birthday, and our all around Italian-ness. Now instead.... I'm in New Brunswick. ugh.

Anyway, this weekend was a mixture of things that are good, and things that are bad.

Good things:

Penelope. Erin and I went on friday night. I laughed, I cried, I wished James McAvoy was my boyfriend. It was adorable, and Christina Ricci is better looking than me even when she looks like a pig. great.

Photobucket

Other good things:
Sean's Baptism. He was cute, but I still can't stand going to Church.

Photobucket

Bad things:

Anne and Rick + kids leave for Zurich next week. I've been talking about this forever and now its finally here. I should hurry up and by my ticket so I can go visit (the inital reason for creating this blog). I'm sad not to have her around until May. boo.
